Sarjeet Gill Receives Recognition Award from the ESA



In September, Prof. Sarjeet Gill, member of the Department of Cell Biology & Neuroscience and former director of the Environmental Toxicology Graduate Program, was selected by the Entomological Society of America for its Recognition Award in Insect Physiology, Biochemistry and Toxicology.  Dr. Gill was selected in recognition of his research to understand the mechanisms of action of insecticidal toxins produced by Bacillus thuringiensis and Clostridium bifermantans.  More information on Dr. Gill's research and the award can be found at the ESA website.  The award will be presented at the annual ESA meeting in November.  Our congratulations to Sarjeet for this nice recognition.
