The American College of Toxicology is offering three fellowships to graduate students in approved toxicology programs in North America. The fellowships are for two years and pay $5000 per year and require: "1) Successful acceptance into PhD Program (a two-year award) or in final year of a terminal master's program (a one-year award); 2) Presentation at ACT's Annual Meeting (meeting registration fees will be waived) in November displaying a poster summarizing a graduate project in the field of toxicology; 3) Joining ACT as a student member (Student membership is free, and it is not a requirement to be an ACT member at the time of application.); and 4) Submit a 250-word abstract online using the Annual Meeting abstract system." The work of Environmental Toxicology faculty member, Professor Prue Talbot and her students on the hazards associated with e-cigarettes was briefly described in an article put out by the UC Press Office entitled, "Vapers beware: 10 things to know about e-cigarettes".
