Postdoctoral position at Dow Chemical Company

Below is a message about a new postdoctoral position that I recently received from one of my colleagues at Dow Chemical. If interested, please follow the link to apply.

"I want to bring to your attention a post-doctoral opportunity we currently have in our laboratory in the area of respiratory sensitization and allergy." [See this link for more details.] "Some one with strong background in toxicology with expertise in molecular tools (e.g., transcriptomics) will be an ideal candidate for this position. Although background in immunotoxicology is preferred, it is not essential. I will appreciate if you pass this information to any interested candidates."

Recognition of 2005 Xiaoqin Ye article

It just came to my attention that Xiaoqin Ye's 2005 Nature article on the critical role of lysophosphatidic acid in embryo implantation was highlighted in Nature Medicine (see articles on pages 1178 and 1195) as one of the top papers on reproduction research from 2004-2008. Xiaoqin Ye worked with Dr. Gill and received her Ph.D. in the Environmental Toxicology Graduate Program in 1999. She is currently an assistant professor at the University of Georgia. Our congratulations to Xiaoqin Ye for this very nice recognition.

Photos from Riverside

It has rained a lot lately and I thought I would post a few pictures of the Santa Ana River for which Riverside is named, as well as a few of the views after the rain. I hope you enjoy them.

The view from Riverside looking across the Santa Ana River. As you may recall, this river usually looks more like a stream.
