We would like to extend a warm welcome to Wenwan Zhong, a new assistant professor of chemistry who has recently become a member of the Environmental Toxicology Graduate Program faculty. Wenwan came to UCR last year having recently completed a postdoctoral fellowship at Los Alamos National Lab. She received her PhD from Iowa State University in 2003. Wenwan's research in analytical chemistry currently focuses on the separation of biomolecules using capillary electrophoresis and other chromatography techniques and the development of sensitive bioassays for detection of DNA, protein, virus, bacteria, etc. We are very pleased to have her in the Program.
