ETOX alumnus Dr. Scott Coffin was selected to be in the inaugural list of remarkable alumni under the age of 40 complied by UCR. As described in the UCR Magazine, "The 40 Under 40 initiative is a celebration of how UCR’s top-ranking education has given rise to a community of Highlander alumni with exceptional career success, well-deserved accolades, and extraordinary achievements". Scott is a Research Scientist at the California State Water Resources Control Board and is actively involved in helping the state develop drinking water regulations for microplastics.
