Alumnus Alvaro Alvarado in the news

ETOX alumnus Alvaro Alvarado is an author on a recent article published in Environmental Science & Technology which describes the decline of toxic air contaminants in California and links the declines to regulations implemented by the California Air Resources Board and others.  The ES&T article can be found here.  The article was the basis of an article in the Los Angeles Times in which Alvaro was quoted extensively.  Our congratulations to Alvaro and his colleagues for this nice piece of work.

Talbot Research on eCigarettes Featured on Al Jazeera America

Carl Cranor receives two additional teaching recognitions

Prof. Carl Cranor, member of the Department of Philosophy and Environmental Toxicology Graduate Program faculty member, recently received two additional teaching recognitions from UC Riverside.  He was selected by the College of Humanities, Arts and Social Sciences to be the Patricia McSweeny McCauley Chair in Teching Excellence for this upcoming year.  In addition, he was selected to join UCR's Academy of Distinguished Teachers.  Our congratulations to Carl for these recognitions of his excellent teaching.
