Prof. Maggie Curras-Collazo's research on polybrominated diphenyl ethers, a widespread class of pollutants, was recently highlighted in UCR News and other news outlets. The research conducted by Elena Kozlova, Dr. Curras-Collazo and associates and published in the journal Scientific Reports and showed that female mice exposed in utero and through their mother's milk developed diabetes at higher frequencies than unexposed control mice.
