The research of Poonam Deol and professor Frances Sladek, Dept. of Cell Biology and Neuroscience and ETOX faculty member, on the obesity- and diabetic-causing effects of soybean oil is being featured at
UCR Today (and other news outlets like the
San Diego Union-Tribune and
Yahoo News) In addition to the article, there is a short video of Poonam describing their research results. While performing the research as a postdoctoral fellow, Poonam was supported by our NIEHS-sponsored training grant in environmental toxicology.
